About Northgate Academy

A community where ambition meets belonging

Founded in 1962, Northgate Academy has been at the heart of Newcastle's educational landscape for over six decades. We're a genuinely all-through school — children join us in Nursery and, if they choose, stay all the way to Sixth Form with friends they've known for years.

AGES 3–4 · EYFS

A warm, play-rich environment where our youngest pupils build confidence, curiosity and the foundations for lifelong learning. Wrap-around care available from 7:30am to 6pm.

How to Join Us

The admissions process, step by step

We keep admissions straightforward. Most families are surprised by how quick and welcoming the process is.

Register Your Interest
Complete a short registration form online or speak to our admissions team. No commitment required at this stage.

Attend an Open Day or Tour
Visit us in person to meet the team, see the facilities and get a feel for the school community. We run open days for each department throughout the year.

Taster Day (Years 3+)
Children joining Year 3 and above are invited for a taster day to experience lessons and meet classmates before making a final decision.

Offer & Enrolment
We make offers on a rolling basis. Once accepted, our team guides you through all paperwork and the transition plan for your child's start date.

Transparent, all-inclusive fees

All fees are per term (three terms per year). Lunch, textbooks and standard trips are included. Bursaries and sibling discounts available — speak to our admissions team.

Full-time (30 hrs) £3,200 / term
Extended day (7:30–6pm) £3,800 / term
Gov. funding deducted 15 or 30 hrs
Government 15/30 hour funding accepted. Registration fee £150 (one-off).
Primary School

Sibling discount 10% off
